Margadarshan (Mentor - Mentee) Scheme

The Margadarshan (Mentor–Mentee) Scheme, launched by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in line with the National Education Policy (NEP), aims to provide structured mentoring and handholding support to accreditation-aspirant Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The scheme seeks to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms in higher education and reflects NAAC’s vision of fostering a culture of continuous quality enhancement.

Aims of the Scheme

The scheme aims to bring all aspiring Higher Education Institutions into the fold of NAAC accreditation through systematic mentoring and handholding support.

Objectives

To enhance the overall quality of higher education across the country through accreditation.

To mentor non-accredited HEIs and encourage them to voluntarily seek accreditation, as envisioned in NEP.

To tap regional potential by promoting the use of regional languages, thereby increasing the number of accredited institutions.

To enable Government, rural, and other underserved HEIs to participate in the accreditation process.

MES Kalladi College as NAAC Mentor Institution

MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, has been selected by NAAC as a Mentor Institution under the Margadarshan Scheme. As part of this initiative, the college provides academic and administrative guidance to its mentee institutions to support their quality enhancement and accreditation efforts.
