The NSS units of the college have an excellent record of teamwork and social commitment. They regularly organize various student-welfare and community-oriented extension programmes. Numerous awareness programmes are conducted on campus under the auspices of the NSS. Significant and socially productive activities are successfully carried out during the annual seven-day special camp, which is conducted every year in rural areas. The college has two NSS units. Students who volunteer to participate in a seven-day special camp, mini camps, and complete 280 hours of community service over a period of two years during their course of study are awarded a National Merit Certificate by the University.
