Workshop on Mental Health for Humanitan Emergencies
A workshop on Mental health for Humanitarian emergencies was conducted by Department of Psychology on 13 October 2025. The resource persons for the session were Ms. Jumana Sulaiman and Msn Anupriya S, both Consultant psychologist and Co-founders of SAMA. They brought in their expertise and experience in the field of mental health to provide valuable insights in to the psychological impact of humanitarian emergencies, coping mechanisms and approaches of psychological first aid
The Department of Psychology conducted a Workshop on Mental Health for Humanitarian Emergencies on 13 October 2025 at Ambedkar Hall. The session was facilitated by Ms. Jumana Sulaiman and Ms. Anupriya S, Consultant Psychologists and Co-founders of SAMA. The workshop provided valuable insights into the psychological impact of humanitarian emergencies, coping mechanisms, and approaches to Psychological First Aid. It aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of mental health challenges during humanitarian crises and equip them with practical knowledge and strategies to respond effectively. The programme encouraged awareness, preparedness, resilience, and appropriate psychological support during emergency situations.
