As part of World Ozone Day Observation, a student-led awareness session was conducted for First Year UG B.Sc. Botany students to create awareness about the importance of the ozone layer, threats to ozone depletion, and the need for ozone layer conservation and protection.

Report As part of the World Ozone Day Observation on 16 September 2026, a student-led awareness session was conducted for First Year UG B.Sc. Botany students at MES Kalladi College (Autonomous). The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of the ozone layer, ozone depletion, its environmental consequences, and the need for ozone layer conservation. The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Sruthi M, Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator. The awareness session was conducted by Rinsha,Neeraja and Shamna, students of B.Sc. Botany, providing the participants with an opportunity to learn about ozone layer protection and environmental responsibility through a student-led learning activity. The session encouraged students to understand the significance of the ozone layer and the role of individuals and communities in protecting the atmosphere. The programme helped promote environmental awareness and active student participation in World Ozone Day observation.
