The National Honey Bee Day Celebration was organized by the Departments of Botany and Zoology, MES Kalladi College (Autonomous), Mannarkkad, to create awareness among students about the ecological and economic importance of honey bees. The programme focused on bee conservation, biodiversity, beekeeping, and the entrepreneurial potential of apiculture. Honey, beeswax products, and Honey Cola were displayed and sold, providing students with practical exposure to bee products and promoting beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood opportunity.

The National Honey Bee Day Celebration was organized by the Departments of Botany and Zoology, MES Kalladi College (Autonomous), Mannarkkad, on 19 August 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Science Block. The programme was presided over by Ms. Nazeema M. K., Head, Department of Botany, and inaugurated by Mr. Shihab, Principal in Charge. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of honey bees, beekeeping, biodiversity conservation, and the economic potential of apiculture. As part of the celebration, honey, beeswax products, and Honey Cola were displayed and made available for sale. The activity provided students with practical exposure to honey bee products and promoted beekeeping as an entrepreneurial opportunity. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Syama P. S. and Ms. Sruthi M. The celebration successfully conveyed the importance of bee conservation and the role of honey bees in maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance.
