MESKCON 2025 International Conference JMC
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at M.E.S Kalladi College successfully organized the MESKCON International Conference 2026 on 31st January 2026. The conference focused on the theme “Art, Media and Culture”, bringing together academicians, researchers, and students to discuss contemporary issues in media and communication.The conference addressed key sub-themes such as media, power and democracy; digital culture and the shaping of everyday life; and environment, sustainability, and communication.A major highlight of the conference was the invited talk by R. Rajagopal on “Journalism in a Democracy: Media, Social Justice and the Power of Representation.” His talk offered deep insights into the role of media in upholding democratic values and promoting social justice.The conference witnessed active participation from students, research scholars, faculty members, and international delegates.

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at M.E.S Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, successfully conducted an extension activity titled "Crafting Creativity Through Tales & Book Contribution" at G.U.P.S Tribal School, Kottathara, on 29th November 2024. The initiative aimed to foster creativity among school students through storytelling sessions and enhance their learning resources by donating books.The extension activity successfully promoted literacy and creativity among the students of G.U.P.S Tribal School. The storytelling session helped enhance their communication and imaginative skills, while the book contribution initiative provided them with much-needed reading materials. The event also strengthened the college’s commitment to community service and education outreach.
