The Department of Hindi at MES Kalladi College has been offering Hindi language courses since its inception, supporting the academic and cultural growth of students. It provides General Foundation courses for B.A., B.Sc., Commerce, and Management programmes, with syllabi tailored to each stream’s requirements.

Under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), four courses are offered across the first four semesters: Ability Enhancement Courses in the first and second semesters, a multidisciplinary course in the third semester, and a value-added course in the fourth semester.

The curriculum focuses on developing effective communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills, along with digital awareness, human values, and professional ethics. It also promotes social and environmental responsibility.

These courses help students gain a better understanding of Hindi language, literature, and culture, while equipping them with the skills needed for academic excellence, career readiness, and responsible citizenship.
