The Department of Arabic and Islamic History at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, is one of the oldest and most distinguished academic units of the institution. Established with the undergraduate programme in 1979 and expanded with a postgraduate programme (MA) in 2013, the department has consistently contributed to the academic and intellectual development of students. The discipline of Islamic History provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary understanding of the evolution of Islamic thought and Muslim societies across the world.
