Programme Overview

M.Sc Chemistry

The M.Sc. Chemistry programme is a two-year postgraduate course structured into four semesters with a strong focus on advanced theoretical knowledge and research skills. Key features include core subjects such as quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and reaction mechanisms. The programme offers elective specializations in areas like computational chemistry, green and nanochemistry, polymer chemistry, and industrial catalysis. Laboratory practicals are conducted in every semester, ensuring extensive hands-on training. A compulsory research project and viva voce in the final semester enhance analytical and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, skill-oriented components such as seminars and research exposure prepare students for careers in research, academia, and industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.

The degree should include Chemistry as the main/core subject.
