B.Com Co-Operation (Specialization in Co-operation)
The B.Com Co-operation programme focuses on the study of co-operative institutions, banking systems, rural development, microfinance, cooperative law, auditing, agricultural marketing, and public financial administration. It is particularly relevant in the Indian context, where cooperative societies play a major role in financial inclusion, agricultural support, and community-based economic development. Graduates can pursue careers in cooperative banks, credit societies, government cooperative departments, NABARD-linked institutions, NGOs, and rural development agencies, commonly beginning in roles such as junior accountant, auditor, loan officer, society secretary, or bank clerk and progressing to managerial, regulatory, and leadership positions.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the Kerala HSE or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks are eligible for admission; a 5% relaxation applies to OBC/OEC candidates, while SC/ST candidates require only a pass.
