Programme Overview

Five Year Integrated Programme Psychology

The Department of Psychology offers a Five-Year Integrated Programme (FYIP) in Psychology, structured in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the FYIP–CBCSS Regulations. The programme integrates undergraduate and postgraduate studies into a single, continuous academic framework, leading to the award of an Integrated Master’s Degree in Psychology upon successful completion. The FYIP is designed to provide progressive learning across 10 semesters, combining foundational knowledge, advanced theoretical understanding, research competence, practical training, and field exposure. As per NEP provisions, the programme includes flexible exit options, enabling students to receive a recognized degree at the end of the different even semesters, subject to fulfilling prescribed academic requirements. The degree awarded under exit options is equivalent to corresponding degrees offered under non-integrated programmes.
